Cloud Deployment Lab

Step 1 — Dockerize the App

Built a Docker image locally (Python 3.11, Flask, spaCy)

Step 2 — Push to AWS ECR

  • Created a private ECR repository

  • Tagged and pushed the image to AWS

Step 3 — ECS Fargate Deployment

  • Created ECS cluster and task definition

  • Configured ecsTaskExecutionRole for logging and ECR access

  • Assigned Fargate task to a security group allowing inbound traffic from ALB

Step 4 — Application Load Balancer

  • Created ALB to make the app public

  • Configured target group health checks

  • Updated security groups to allow HTTP traffic
