Vocabulary Checker

This is a Flask-based web app that helps language learners practice vocabulary in context. Learners input a sentence, a target word, and the expected part of speech (POS). The system evaluates:

  • Whether the word appears in the sentence

  • Whether it's used with the correct POS

  • Whether the sentence is grammatically acceptable using a pretrained model from Hugging Face (CoLA)

HealthyEats Web App

Healthy Restaurant Finder

A Spring Boot web application that helps users track calories and discover healthy dining options. Features include:

  • Calorie tracking with add/edit/delete functionality

  • Smart restaurant search using OpenStreetMap APIs and Overpass API

  • Intelligent filtering that excludes fast food chains

  • Real-time geocoding to find restaurants by location

Tech Stack: Java, Spring Boot, MongoDB, Thymeleaf, OpenStreetMap APIs, OverPass API

Rate my Aggie Demo
 

An improved version of Rate My Professor tailored for NC A&T students.

Purpose: Help students make informed decisions about professors and courses

  • Limitations of Rate My Professor:

    • Duplicate professors, and not as much moderation of reviews.

    • Some professors lack ratings, leaving evaluations outdated or incomplete.

    • Site is used by too many universities

Features:

  • Allows students to:

    • Search professors and their courses.

    • View evaluations broken down by major.

    • Make a decision on how they should proceed with their curriculum

  • Evaluations include:

    • 1-5 ratings and written reviews from current students

Unity Game Project

Game Features

  • Wandering Zombies

    • Enemies to roam the school when not in range

  • Player Following

    • When in proximity (10 units) to the user zombies will begin to chase

  • Spider-Web Trap

    • Can be activated to stop zombies

  • Win Screen

    • Activated upon successfully reaching the school roof

  • Game Over Screen

    • Activated if the user comes into contact with the zombie
